Phillip commenced his legal career in 2004 as an Associate in the Federal Court to the Honourable Justice French who would later become the Chief Justice of the High Court.  After completing his Associateship, Phillip went on to work in two national law firms in Perth before joining Hotchkin Hanly.  He became a partner in 2014.  Phillip practices primarily in litigation and dispute resolution.  He has broad experience in a wide range of commercial litigation fields  including contractual disputes, planning matters, competition and consumer law, negligence (and other torts), Corporations Act matters and mining and resources litigation.  Phillip regularly appears as counsel in contested matters in State and Federal courts and Tribunals
